The Best National Parks in the US

Let me just begin by saying that all of the national parks in the US are absolutely amazing. These are just my personal favorites and my can’t-misses if you are planning a trip around the United States. Without further ado, here are the best national parks in the US.

Denali, Alaska

Denali is home to Mt. McKinley, which is the tallest mountain in North America, reaching heights of 20,000 feet. This has been a bucket list item of mine since I was a kid. I’m a sucker for gorgeous views, and Denali has nothing short of beauty. If you’re planning a trip to Alaska, this is a must-see.

Grand Canyon, Arizona

Most people know what the Grand Canyon is. This is a gorgeous canyon in Arizona that is the biggest in the United States, and one of the top 10 biggest in the world. There are so many different things to do and see around the Grand Canyon, it’s hard to pick just one. Horseshoe Bend is a huge bucket list item of mine, though.

Yosemite, California

Yosemite is absolutely beautiful. Besides one of the better known scenes, the half dome, Yosemite is home to many camping grounds and beautiful hiking trails. Many of the worlds largest living things, the sequoia trees, live in Yosemite. There is a sequoia national park, but why not just kill two birds with one stone and see both in one park?

Redwoods, California

I couldn’t leave this one out. Much of my traveling experience comes in the form of camping, and this is somewhere my dad took us one trip. We lost power due to a generator issue and it was dumping down rain but I still have such fond memories of this trip. Plus, the redwoods to a seven year old were ginormous.

Yellowstone spans a few different states, but is one of the most well-known national parks in the country aside from the Grand Canyon. Whether you’re wanting to go camping, or stay at the world famous lodge, there’s so much to do in Yellowstone. Old Faithful is located here, as well as tons of different natural¬†phenomenons.

Zion, Utah

I have such fond memories of Zion. This national park is absolutely beautiful and features such awesome hiking trails, as well as great camping areas. I have great memories camping and hiking around with my family. It’s a huge national park with tons to do.

This was so hard to pick my favorite national parks, and there are definitely one’s I want to talk about but don’t want to bore you, so those will probably come in a part 2 post!

Thanks for reading!
